Tamara reached out to me looking to book something special for her and her husband’s 16th wedding anniversary. They had been through a lot the past few years and they were coming out of them stronger than ever before. What better way to celebrate their marriage than documenting their special bond?
We decided on an epic sunrise couples session overlooking the Salt River at Coon Bluff Recreation Area in Mesa, Arizona. We met in the parking lot at about 6am and began our hike up the side of the mountain. It’s a pretty short but moderate hike depending on the route we take. It’s definitely best for adults or teen children.
Sunrise sessions have such a different vibe than sunset sessions. They’re peaceful, refreshing, invigorating. I always feel ready to take on the day afterwards…right after I take a little nap LOL!
Tamara and Zach did not disappoint! They were fun, sexy and ready to play. They answered my questions about their relationship with depth and emotion which you can see reflects in their images. I don’t ask these types of questions at your couple sessions to make anyone feel awkward. I ask them so you can open up, feel vulnerable and maybe say some of the things you have forgotten to mention between dirty diapers and lugging kids around. My favorite part about this is when you look back on your photos, you’ll remember what your husband whispered in your ear.
When our session was wrapping up, we had such an incredible chat about life and balancing marriage and children. These two are the real deal. They give so much to each other their support and love really radiates between them. The are total #couplegoals!
